presents A Stage reading play “ RED DOG HOWLS ”
From Alexander Dinelaris, Oscar-winning co-writer of Birdman
This play delves in the dark history of the Armenian Genocide and is a stirring and powerful tale and the lives of subsequent generations are deeply affected by the experiences of ancestors. (When his father dies, Michael Kiriakos is left with a note instructing him to bury his father with the contents of a mysterious box, without opening anything inside. Michael discovers the box contains old, unopened letters — all from the same woman. Unable to resist, he decides to track down the woman, and uncovers a harrowing past he never knew existed).
immediately following the performance will be a discussion with actors, moderated by Dawn Anahid Mackeen, author of the “Hundred Year Walk:An Armenian Odyssey”.
